How we set your fee
Starting prices cover straightforward situations. Your fee depends on things like the number of entities, rental properties, states, and the condition of your records. After a short consultation, we give you a fixed fee and a written scope. If something new comes up partway through, we discuss it with you before doing additional work.
Advice is included
We don’t bill for calls, emails, questions, or advisory conversations, whether you’re a client or thinking about becoming one. Ask as often as you need.
When there is a fee
We charge only when advice turns into work on our end, and it’s always quoted as a fixed fee before we start:
- Entity formation and S corporation elections
- Responses to IRS and state notices, and audit representation
- Calculations and projections you request
- Payroll services
If a notice is the result of an error on our part, we handle the response at no charge.

Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every engagement has a fixed fee that we agree on in writing before work begins.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. Consultations, calls, emails, and questions are always free, for clients and for people considering working with us.
What could make my fee higher than the starting price?
Things like multiple businesses or entities, several rental properties, filings in more than one state, or records that need cleanup before we can prepare a return. We identify these during the consultation, so your quote reflects them from the start.
What if I get an IRS notice because of a mistake you made?
We handle the response at no charge.
